Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse in our Endoscopy unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients undergoing endoscopic proceduresYou will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient outcomesYour expertise and compassionate approach will help create a comfortable and supportive environment for patients and their families. Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Procedure Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, allergies, and current medications to ensure safe and appropriate care.
• Patient Education: Provide clear and concise pre-procedure instructions to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Procedure Support: Assist physicians and other team members during endoscopic procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and medications.
• Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, anesthesia levels, and overall condition during procedures, promptly addressing any changes or complications.
• Post-Procedure Care: Care for patients in the immediate post-procedure phase, including monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring a smooth recovery process.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records, documenting all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment in the endoscopy unit.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
• Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights, preferences, and concerns are respected and addressed.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with Insert Number years of experience in endoscopy or a related field
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and excellent critical thinking abilities

Endoscopy RN 13 week assignment 40 hrs 8 hr days with flexible start times (7a-3:30p, 8a-4:30p, or 9a-5:30p) BLS & ACLs required MA license 2 yrs of current Endoscopy experience required Must be willing to float to the sister facility EMR: Meditech 05/20 start
