Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation and
integration that includes a premier hospital and a renowned medical
college, is seeking a Director of System Payer Contracting. This
pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the development,
negotiation, and implementation of payer strategies and contracts
for all healthcare services provided by the center. The ideal
candidate will bring a strategic vision to maximize reimbursement
and ensure the financial sustainability of our medical services
while upholding the highest standards of patient care and
compliance. Develop and implement comprehensive payer contracting
strategies. Negotiate contract terms with new and existing health
insurance payers. Analyze market trends and adjust strategies to
maximize reimbursement. Coordinate with legal and financial
departments to ensure contracts' compliance with all regulations
and laws. Maintain strong relationships with payers, health plans,
and other stakeholders. Lead a team of contracting professionals,
setting clear goals and expectations, and providing mentorship.
