Job Description Job Description Mohawk Chevrolet is growing and currently seeking a technician to join our auto dealership as part of our Mobile Service department. This position involves operating our mobile service van and performing routine maintenance off-site. Prior automotive experience required. Benefits: Generous compensation based on performance/experience (40 - 45k annually) Benefits available – Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Time Off Positive and family friendly atmosphere Employee purchase plans Paid training and advancement opportunities New state-of-the-art facility Qualifications: Valid state-issued driver’s license and clean driving record required Automotive Quick Lube & Tire Technician/ Mechanic experience required Automotive Dealership experience preferred, but not required Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a plus Responsibilities: Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks including oil changes, diagnostic scanning, brake services, batteries, tire rotations, wipers, fluids, filters, lamps and bulbs Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety Operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, with ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
