Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity EngineerLocation: Pittsfield,
MAJob Description : Our client, a large defense contractor, has an
immediate opening for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to work from
their Pittsfield, MA facility. They are seeking a candidate who can
provide cyber expertise in the Architecture, Engineering,
Integration and Deployment effort of a purpose-built system(s) for
the Department of Defense. The successful candidate will work both
independently and in a product team-based environment. As a
Cybersecurity engineer, you will create system security
specifications, decompose NIST standards into system requirements,
perform model-based system engineering, and execute program tasks
using DevSecOps with Agile processes. Your work will be focused in
the DoD Industries to include supporting warfighter
missions.Qualifications:Bachelor's of Science degree in
Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required plus a
minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus
a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.Clearance Requirements:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time
of hire. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security
investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to
classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within
our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Education and
Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting cyber
security capabilities, networking, systems engineering and
technical infrastructure.Demonstrated knowledge of mission-based
systems design and function.Demonstrated knowledge of government &
security industry principles, procedures, standards, and security
solutionsExperience in technical leadership role in
cyber-security.Experience with threat modeling, zero-trust and risk
assessmentsExperience with conducting and documenting Cost/Benefit
analysis studies for the selection, deployment, and integration of
solutions.Experience in Model based system Engineering, DevSecOps
and Agile methodologiesExperience with and understanding of cyber
systems, policies, standards and limitationsThe ability to work
proactively, independently, and/or as a member of a technical team
while developing cyber security approaches.Skilled/comfortable
working in a closed environment, able to be flexible and to adjust
to dynamic political, technical and/or fiscal challenges.Knowledge
of proposal development, basis of estimates, earned value,
budgetary principles and contract procedures.Relevant security
certifications including but not limited to CISSP, ISSEP, CISA,
CISM, and/or CEHDuties and Responsibilities: Serve as the lead
Systems Security Engineer specializing in Cyber Design,
Engineering, Integration, and Deployment.Work with a
multi-disciplined program teams and make decisions related to
resource allocation, work assignment, schedule management, risk and
opportunity management, and quality attainment in meeting program
milestones and cyber objectives.Contribute to cyber resiliency and
security risk management of a national significance.Perform as a
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a range of cybersecurity
capabilities and products.Provide technical support utilizing
security engineering principles involving communications security,
network security, computer security and information
management.Provide technical and engineering support in the
evaluation, installation, and integration of new software and
security enhancements.Develop, review and present information and
reports, orally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences and
stakeholders internal and external to the program.Conduct analysis
and evaluations, making recommendations and providing SME and
assistance to include preparing criteria and analytical aids,
briefings, reports, government forms and presentations.Recommend
security solutions (i.e., tools, tactics, and techniques) that will
be used by the customer and program.Contribute to a cyber knowledge
management database leveraged by other programs and peers.Prepare
and present briefings as a subject matter expert.Develop and
maintain system documentation as it pertains to system
requirements, models, SOP's and risk management.Equal Opportunity
