Overview:The Engineering Department at United Aircraft
Technologies, Inc. is located in Pittsfield, MA. We are fast paced,

(UAT) is a new innovative company that specializes in light weight
cable fasteners and monitoring management systems for the aerospace
industry. UAT is a group of employees, entrepreneurs, inventors,
and designers with the passion to create and fabricate products and
solutions for aircraft, rotary, and vertical lift vehicles. The
company is located in Pittsfield Massachusetts and has openings for
an Electrical and Electronics Engineer to assist with the company's
increasing line of products and production. Position
Summary:Utilize electrical and electronics engineering expertise to
design, prototype, and evaluate cutting-edge technology focused on
toroidal energy harvesting, from concept to production.Duties and
responsibilities: Toroidal energy harvesting design Analytically
predict performance of toroidal energy harvesters Identify and test
potential final materials Optimize geometry Work with the
engineering team to produce test pieces and provide seamless
integration of all components, including mechanical, electronics,
firmware, and software Use desktop laboratory equipment to verify
toroid performance Modify analytical model to predict performance
across a range of sizes and configurations Circuit design
Understand rectifier and regulator circuits to correct power
delivery Select commercially available components for mass
production Create series to adapt across multiple input voltages
Design schematics and flex PCB models using Altium Be the liaison
across manufacturersSkills/Qualifications MS Electrical engineering
or relevant research experience Knowledge of manufacturing
techniques In depth understanding of ferromagnetism Soldering
skills Laboratory testing experience Circuit design experience PCB
design experience Team player Highly organized Strong written,
verbal, time management and communication skills Strong ability to
work independently with limited guidance Ability to analyze and
propose approaches to resolve technical skills Must be legally
authorized to work in the United States. This position requires
proof of US Citizenship Ability to obtain a Department of Defense

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 pounds Must be able

hands and arms Substantial time will be spent in an office
environment with some time at a lab, testing, prototype
fabrication, or manufacturing environment Occasionally, there may
be incidents involving testing parts in an outdoor environment
Chemicals or material handled are in stable state and may have
characteristic odors or hazardous properties that require special
handling, PPE, as well as awareness of their chemical composition
and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) Other Special Requirements:
Perform job duties in accordance with company and customer
specifications, as well as procedures Support cross functional
teams and departments as required Safety Responsibilities: Ensure
that all safety procedures are followed. Ensure that all equipment
safeties are not altered or defeated. Job Type: Contractor - 3
months with possibility for extension. This is not a remote
position.
