Job Description:
Job Summary: The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for
troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a vast array of
mechanical machinery and equipment. The Lead Maintenance Technician
must always demonstrate safe working practices and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve
mechanical problems to keep equipment running efficiently. o
Equipment Types: Plasma tables, Press Brakes, Welders, Paint
Booths, HVAC systems. - Identify and perform routine Preventative
and Predictive Maintenance on all equipment. Includes building or
dismantling and diagnosing machines. - Perform daily, weekly, and
monthly equipment inspections. - Provide documentation and
communicate inspection results, including necessary corrective
actions. - Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a
timely manner - Report all facility issues not immediately
repairable to the Facilities Manager and Operations Manager. - When
appropriate, maintain confidentiality and observe data protection
and associated guidelines. - Identify abnormalities and repairs
required within the building and advise the supervisors
accordingly. - Fabrication of various jigs and fixtures - Follow
company safety policies and safe work practices. - Check and update
SDS paperwork for compliance. - Forklift and crane compliance. -
Plow, sand, and salt properties as needed - Lawn care and parking
lot repair as needed. - Move heavy equipment and supplies. -
Identify and repair potential safety hazards/concerns. ADDITIONAL
JOB FUNCTIONS: - Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, and
scrubbing. - Remove snow from walkways using snow shovels and
spread snow-melting chemicals. - Move heavy furniture, equipment,
and supplies manually or using hand trucks. - Set up, arrange, and
remove decorations, tables, chairs, and trash receptacles to
prepare facilities for company events and meetings. - Knowledge of
occupational hazards and safety rules. - Compliance with all state
regulations. - Interface with all departments to ensure all
equipment is operating correctly to avoid disruption of
service/production. - Understand and comply with Lenco safety and
environmental policies. - Select the proper safety equipment to be
used by employees. - Select proper consumables to be used by
employees (grinding, pads, cut-off tools, etc.). - Other duties as
assigned and requested by management to meet the ongoing needs of
the Company. EXPERIENCE: - Proven experience as a Technician or
Mechanic. - Production machinery experience. - Aptitude with using
hand and power tools. - Use of cleaning/maintenance equipment - Use
of groundskeeping equipment - Forklift operation EDUCATION: - High
school diploma or GED equivalent CERTIFICATIONS: - Forklift
Operator Certification - Hoisting and Rigging Certification - Valid
Driver License KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Excellent listening
skills - Meticulous attention to detail - Take and understand
measurements. - Ability to follow directions. - Ability to maintain
focus. - Meet deadlines. - Basic reading and math skills required
(add, subtract, divide, and multiply) - Ability to write. - Follow
safety and materials policies and procedures. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: -
Pass physical exam. - Lift a minimum of 70 lbs. - Exert maximum
force to pull and carry objects. - Climb into, onto and under
vehicle(s)/equipment. - Sit, stand, bend, squat and kneel for
extended periods of time. - Minimum 20/40 vision with or without
corrective lenses. - Good hearing. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work
