Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Elizabethtown, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:ED - Emergency Department - Discipline:RN - Start Date:06/26/2025 - Duration:13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, evenings - Employment Type:Travel Beds: 341 total; ED Unit – 29 ED beds, 4 Behavioral Health, 7 Fast Track (all flexible) Trauma Level: Level 3 Teaching Facility: No Experience Required: Minimum 1 year clinical and specialty experience Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (required), NIHSS (prior to start) Licensing: NY RN license or proof of application (NY licensing takes 6-8 weeks) Shift: Rotating; 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 3p-3:30a; no blocked schedules; weekends/holidays required; no call Nurse-Patient Ratio: Typically 1:5, sometimes higher; must handle busy, high-volume ED Ancillary Staff: CNA/PCT (varied shifts), Unit clerk, Crisis clinician, Advanced practice providers (8a-11p) Orientation: 20-24 hours depending on contract length Dress Code: Navy blue/white scrubs, closed-toe shoes, no artificial nails Systems: EPIC documentation (recent experience required), Pyxis medication system Equipment: Phillips MP40 monitors, Alaris IV pumps; respiratory and anesthesia support 24/7 Unit Procedures: Nurses manage drips, IV starts, EKGs, respiratory treatments; manage boarded psych, COVID, and other patients Other: Zero tolerance for cell phone/earbuds on shift; reliable transportation required (no public transport) Travel Rate: $110/hr; radius/local rates available Comments: Prior travel and charge experience preferred; detailed work history required About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
