Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Behavioral Health - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Adult Forensics/Intensive Unit Location Brattleboro, VT Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; Shift includes every other weekend. Job Description Join our multidisciplinary team focused on providing high-quality care in an Adult Forensics/Intensive Unit. You will be responsible for meeting the needs of patients requiring complex nursing care while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The program focuses on supporting patients with co-occurring disorders by promoting healing and long-term recovery. Responsibilities - Utilize the nursing process to address individual and group needs. - Provide clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers (MHWs) for safe care delivery. - Implement treatment plans that address psychiatric issues alongside sobriety needs. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Must have recent forensic experience within the last 3 months. - 5 years of RN experience required; inpatient psychiatric experience must be within the last 3 months. - Certification in CPI is preferred, with an 8-hour NBO added if not current. - Must be willing to float to other units and take charge shifts. - Submit a resume detailing psychiatric nursing experience and age groups worked with. - Driver's license or candidate's address must be included with the submission.
