ICU Medical Directorship Upstate New York (Albany area) BE/BC Critical care physician with leadership experience needed. One year of directorship experience is preferred. Hospital is open to training in Critical care only or Pulmonary/Critical care (sleep optional). Expected to be 20% admin and 80% clinical but there is flexibility on this. Can build your schedule how you want to set it up. There are two hospitals in the system (20 bed ICU and 24 bed ICU) and they are looking for a director to lead and incorporate both critical care units moving forward. Position reports to CMO. Admin duties include workflow implementation, determination of quality metrics, handling of inquiries, quality case reviews, etc. Full-time position with call rotation. Night call is 2-3 times per month with one weekend night. No overnights as there is 24/7 critical care coverage. Weekend coverage is 1 in every 4 or 5 weeks. 2 weeks per month in office (can do some sleep medicine if certified). Competitive compensation package starting in the $425K base salary range plus additional administrative stipend. Great benefits package with sign on bonus, relocation and PSLF loan repayment program. The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. Candidate that are critical care only are paid on an hourly basis for Critical care shifts ($225/hour for days and $250/hour for nights) and an admin rate for administrative time at $190/hour. Open to H1-B visa sponsorship (cap-exempt). EPIC EMR Ideal candidate can start in 2024. Excellent location in Central NY state in the Albany, NY area.
