Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Case Management - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Lactation Consultant – Massachusetts Start Date: January 26, 2026 Location: Western Massachusetts Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 8-hour shifts; holiday and overtime multipliers available at 1.25%; holiday and weekend rotation required Highlights: - Expert-level lactation consultant role providing assessment, treatment, and consultation in both inpatient and outpatient settings - Leadership oversight for optimal lactation management and interdisciplinary care planning - Opportunity to support patients with advanced breastfeeding needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams - Work with Meditech Expanse EMR system (strongly preferred) - 13-week contract assignment with 8-hour non-billable orientation - Must have reliable personal transportation for this assignment Requirements: - Active Massachusetts state license (RN, OT, PT, SLP, or Pharmacist) - International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification with 1 years of experience - Minimum of 2,500 documented hours as a breastfeeding consultant - Experience with inpatient lactation programs - Outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education, consultation, and/or teaching experience - Current American Heart Association BLS certification - One supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years - Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (if applicable) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This is an impactful role for an experienced lactation consultant passionate about supporting new mothers and families during a critical time.
