Duration: 79 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Locum
Anesthesiologist Opportunity – New York Position Details (Start
Date: ASAP) Coverage at Northern Dutchess Hospital. 8-hour shifts:
04:00 AM – 12:30 PM (providers expected to work full scheduled time
excluding unpaid lunch). Duration: Ongoing assignment anticipated
through December 31, 2026. Case types include: General, Orthopedic,
and OB. Board certification or fellowship required. Estimated
privileging timeframe: 60 days. Team-based approach: MDs
supervising CRNAs (ratio 2:1). MDs perform their own cases. Number
of anesthesia rooms: 6. Charting systems: Cerner and iPro. In-house
call not required; pager call required for weeknights and weekends.
Overtime not expected but offered. Responsibilities Direct and
coordinate activities in the Anesthesia Department. Medical
management of patients during surgery and procedures.
Pre-anesthesia assessment and patient consent. Induction,
maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor patient’s
physiological condition and perform interventions as needed.
Requirements M.D./D.O. degree from accredited college of medicine.
Completion of approved residency in anesthesia. Current physician
license.
