active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A full-time position is
available for a physical therapy professional specializing in gross
motor skills and compensatory services, working within a K-12
school setting. This role focuses on supporting students with
limited mobility, including providing therapy time in a stander to
promote independence and physical development. The position
involves managing an elementary caseload and is offered as a
contract for the current school year. Location: Waterbury, CT
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week Duration: Current School
Year (CSY) contract Key Responsibilities: Provide direct physical
therapy services targeting gross motor skill development. Deliver
compensatory services tailored to meet individual student needs.
Support students with limited mobility through interventions
including stander use. Collaborate with educators and support staff
to integrate therapy goals into the educational environment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions,
progress, and evaluations. Participate in team meetings and
contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development and
review. Desired Qualifications: Valid licensure or certification as
a Physical Therapist. Experience working with pediatric populations
in a school environment preferred. Knowledge of gross motor skill
development and compensatory therapy techniques. Ability to work
collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication
and organizational skills. This opportunity offers the chance to
