Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Progressive Critical Care (Days) – Albany, NY Assignment Start: 2/16/26 Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend; rotating holidays Experience Required: Minimum 2 years Other Requirements: Epic experience required Unit Overview: Nurses in the Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region. Patient populations include: - Respiratory failure - Sepsis - Closed head injuries - Multi-system organ dysfunction - Endocrine disorders - Complex traumas and surgical complications Responsibilities & Skills Required: - Competent in care of medical and surgical populations - ACLS certified - Advanced hemodynamic management including pressor titration - Management of antihypertensive, sedative, Narcan, and thrombo-embolic drips - Skilled with arterial lines, CVP lines, EVDs, orthopedic traction - Infection prevention protocols - HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and Oxypendent management - Capable of managing an average patient load of 3 high-acuity patients Preferred Background: - Large-scale adult Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience - Community hospital ICU experience Contact: HumanEdge Health Phone: Email: HumanEdge Travel Healthcare Job ID 15770.
