BACKGROUND Position Summary: The Director of Nursing Professional
Development has accountability for orientation, education, and
competency for the nurses in the acute division. Ensures all
educational programs support organizational initiatives and meet
regulatory/accreditation requirements. Has oversight of learning
management system, resuscitation, student affiliations, policy
management, and Nurse Residency. Additional Requirements from
standard description for leader below: - Active RN license (no
holds) for NYS - Master’s Degree in nursing is required - minimum
of 5 years of professional development of faculty experience with
demonstrated leadership ability - MUST HAVE STRONG EDUCATIONAL
NURSING BACKGROUND The Nurse Leader (NL) is a licensed registered
nurse (RN) accountable for leading, managing & advancing people,
processes & / or programs that support direct or indirect patient
care. The NL promotes & advocates for patients, nurses / colleagues
& the practice of nursing as defined by clinical area (s) of
expertise & assignment. Note: “patients” refers to patients,
clients, residents, participants, customers, members Essential

area(s) or specialty non-clinical (non-patient facing)
department(s) / area(s); May provide leadership & direction through
managers; Balances between staff leadership, broader organizational
direction & administration; Accountable for the performance,
regulatory readiness & results of a single large, strategic area /
related disciplines or multiple small to medium-sized departments /
areas / clinics in a small to medium-sized single functional domain
within a limited geography. Pay Range: $60.00hr-$79.20hr -Salaried
EXEMPT Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt
positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid
within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The
pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
