Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system that integrates a top-tier hospital with a high-calibre medical college, is looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse III for our Med/Surg Hospitalist team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional care by managing patient outcomes on our medical-surgical floor, utilizing both clinical expertise and the latest medical research to ensure the best possible patient recovery scenarios. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical floor. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized care plans. Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and health maintenance. Maintain accurate patient records and prepare reports on patients' status. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely. Participate in professional development and research activities. Adhere to all hospital policies and up-to-date clinical practices. Strong clinical skills in a medical-surgical environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle high-stress situations Proficient in using medical software and patient management systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) is preferred BLS/ACLS certification
