Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a qualified Per Diem Registered
Nurse for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role
demands a committed and compassionate professional to deliver
high-quality care to critically ill children. With our commitment
to innovation in healthcare and medical education, the chosen
candidate will play a pivotal role in achieving our mission of
advancing patient care. The role requires balancing intense medical
procedures with tender patient interactions under the guidance of
leading pediatric specialists. Provide direct and comprehensive
nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients. Collaborate with
pediatricians and other medical professionals to formulate
treatment plans. Monitor patient status and respond to medical
emergencies with precision and timely intervention. Educate and
support patients' families regarding medical processes and patient
care. Adhere to all hospital policies and pediatric care standards.
Expertise in pediatric care and critical response Ability to work
under pressure and make accurate decisions Proficiency in using
medical software and electronic health records Strong communication
and empathetic interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Valid Registered Nurse
(RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) and
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
