We're excited to be looking for a Specialist, Human Resources
(Recruiting & Staffing) to join our rapidly growing team in
Pittsfield, MA. Reporting to our Vice President, Human Resources,
you will assist in a variety of duties and key HR areas in addition
to being primarily responsible for one or more specific HR
functions, including the full recruitment and onboarding process,
and provide support to HR colleagues in other aspects of general HR
duties. This role will interact directly with employees and
managers to both support and guide in applicable HR areas. The
position will be a collaborator, with the professional ability to
build relationships and trust, guide and instruct, and work
effectively both in a team as well as independently throughout the
day. They will exercise good judgement and objectivity, serving as
a champion for both staff and leadership.The perfect candidate for
this role will be someone with the ability to build relationships,
coach, and influence leaders, exercise good judgement, and work
effectively throughout the company.How will you support the
team?
- Lead the 5 Stages of the Employee Lifecycle (Recruiting,
Onboarding, Development, Retention, and Offboarding)
- Responsible for the full Recruitment & Onboarding component for
the company including development of job descriptions, posting
positions across multiple job boards, sourcing and assessment of
candidates, initial pre-screening for Managers, assisting with job
offers, and new hire onboarding.
- Collaboration with leadership to ensure the highest level of
quality candidates are placed. Serve as key contact for any outside
agencies/recruiters, as needed.
- Manage the flow, and perform all administrative duties, related
to the hiring and onboarding process including coordination with
hiring managers, logistics for on-site interviews, administration
of background checks, and collection of required HR documentation
pre and post hire.
- Serve as liaison for all new hires on day one; conduct Human
Resources orientation, support transition and hand-off to
Managers.
- Act as a resource for benefit overview to new hires and current
employees.
- Monitor, assess and foster employee engagement and culture
through various means (surveys, stay and exit interviews, employee
events, etc.)
- Establish, analyze, and maintain KPI metrics (turnover, hiring,
exit interview feedback, unemployment claims, etc.).
- Ensure accurate completion of new hire documentation during
onboarding process.
- Process and enter related employee demographic, salary,
position, and reporting structure information into payroll
system.
- Actively support company strategies and goals through HR
initiatives, goals, and action plans.
- Serve as resource to all staff and leadership on HR policy,
processes, and practices to ensure effective and timely execution
and compliance with policies; train/communicate on new initiatives
as needed.
- Assist in resolving employee relation issues through
partnership with managers and employees.
- Complete reports within Microsoft programs and HR Software to
turn data into insight, intelligence, and action.
- Perform other duties as needed in support of the HR Department,
the VP of HR, or other Company initiatives..
Requirements:
We're looking for someone with...
- Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Marketing, Business,
Psychology, or other related field required (or other applicable
experience.)
- Experience as a Generalist in Human Resources with specific
skill set to include Recruiting and Onboarding and general broad
knowledge base in all aspects of Human Resources. (Prior HR
experience within the Retail, Operations, Production, Warehouse, or
Creative industry a plus.)
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with
ability to effectively relay company culture, benefits, policies,
practices, etc. to both candidates and internal staff in an upbeat,
proactive manner.
- Proven ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and
professionally with, and across, all levels of staff and
leadership.
- Professional curiosity in approach and problem solving with
good analytical and pro-active trouble-shooting skills.
- Ability to demonstrate professional self-control, mutual
respect, good listening skills and an ability to guide towards a
mutual solution.
- Excellent time management/organizational abilities to
continually manage and prioritize work; agility to be flexible as
needed while still bringing tasks to completion accurately and
timely.
- Ability to work effectively both independently as well as in a
team under general supervision.
- Responsive, flexible, and adaptable in approach. Open and
supportive of change initiatives and opportunities for continuous
