UAT is a group of employees, entrepreneurs, inventors, and designers with the passion to create and fabricate products and solutions for aircraft, rotary and vertical lift vehicles.The company located in Pittsfield Massachusetts has internship openings for the Mechanical Engineering Design and Manufacturing department to assist with the company increasing line of products and production.Position Summary: Provide engineering support towards the design, development, validation and testing and manufacturing of products.Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform Unity 3D Developer roles.- Responsible for meeting with the design team to discuss VR/AR ideas & specifications.- Establish strategy and development pipelines.- Plan and implement AR functionality.- Design and build VR/AR code- Identify and fix code errors and bottlenecks.- Test functionality and theme dynamics.- Design architectural elements into beautiful photo realistic quality.- Develop and maintain VR/AR applications using the Unity platform.- Build, debug, and deploy VR/AR frameworks, tools, and applications.- Transform design ideas into functional applications.- Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers and Engineers to ensure delivery of product features.- Analyze data, identify areas of concern, implement design changes to mitigate non-conforming areas, improve design and document results.- Take ownership of entire features and components of the product lifecycle and lead as an individual contributor to code features.- Be part of the development process and contribute improvements and suggestions, driving the quality of the code throughout the entire production cycle (Always be raising the bar)- Mentor other developers in the team and help maintain code, product, and process quality.- Ensure schedules and goals meet business and project needs.- Conduct code reviews and be part of the hiring process for future colleagues.- Be involved and communicate during agile processes and daily standups.- Design and write reports for management and customers to back up product design.Skills / Qualifications: - BS degree in computer science or computer engineering OR you have great professional experience as a Unity3D developer.- Understanding of 2D/3D development and integrated game physics.- Understanding of scripting, animation, session management and textures.- Strong rendering experience. Capable of improving the quality of renderings.- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).- Must have a strong attention to details.- Experience in C# and Java.- Leadership skills and team player.- Highly organized.- Strong written, verbal, time management and interpersonal skills.- Experience with Unity UI elements and prefabs.- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.- Basic understanding of 3D math, 3D graphics and shaders.- AR or computer vision experience.- Experience in one or more 3D graphics libraries such as OpenGL or Vulkan.- Experience with Git repositories.- A habit of writing super-clean, testable, and well-documented code.- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.Other: The requirements listed in this description are a representation of the knowledge, skills, and ability needed by employee to perform the essential functions of this job.
