Job Description:

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION To assist the Director of Clinical Development and Acute Care Educators by performing clerical, scheduling and related duties. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) Experience: One year experience in a fast-paced business or healthcare setting, with computer skills and Excel experience. Education and Training: High School graduate required. Successful completion of courses in business and/or office procedures. License, Certification # Registration: CPR CPR instructor within three months. Other Requirements: Demonstrated typing skills of 50-60 words per minute. Demonstrated skill using correct sentence structure, spelling and grammar. Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions. Ability to handle phone calls in a manner appropriate to a business setting. Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of hospital employees. Ability to conduct positive interactions with patients, the public and other members of the healthcare team. Demonstrated ability to handle several tasks at once while remaining calm under pressure. Evidence of dependability in maintaining a work schedule. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Familiarity with the regulatory systems and standards including JCAHO, DPH, HIPAA and CMS. Proficiency in typing, filing, Microsoft Office and Outlook. Proficiency in Meditech applications and reports, financial reporting including NPR and care hours. Knowledge of medical terminology.
