This position includes the expectation of cross-training to the
behavioral health department group and the psychiatric ED, as
+ DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
+ The Clinical Therapist is a health care professional who
functions as an integral member of an interdisciplinary treatment
team. S/he provides psychosocial assessments, treatment, and helps
manage a structured and safe inpatient milieu. The Clinical
Therapist must be skilled in providing multi-modal therapy
(individual, group, family). S/he is responsible for the on-going
assessment of the care plan ensuring that it meets the needs of the
patient at all times. S/he is knowledgeable about the risk factors
inherent in the patient population and actively supports a culture
that fosters safety for patients and staff alike. The Clinical
Therapist is skilled in effective communication and is responsible
for clear and concise documentation in the patient care record.
+ POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required
unless stated otherwise.)
+ Experience with inpatient psychiatric treatment setting
+ Experience working with people with substance use disorders
+ Education and Training:
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Services field or equivalent
experience strongly preferred.
+ License, Certification & Registration:
+ LSW - Licensed Social Worker
+ CPR within 3 months of hire
+ CRISIS INT - Crisis Intervention within one month of hire.
+ Other Requirements:
+ Be Smart Be Safe Safety Training within one month of hire.
+ Demonstrated ability to work within a treatment team format is
+ Demonstrated ability to provide high quality patient care and
