Job Title: Full-Time Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Location: Pittsfield, MA Salary: Competitive Job Description: Blazerworks is seeking a passionate and qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our school district in Pittsfield, MA. As a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher, you will provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade, in a variety of educational settings. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Provide instruction in American Sign Language (ASL), English literacy, communication skills, and other academic subjects
• Use assistive technologies and adaptations to support students' access to the curriculum
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to ensure inclusive education for students
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, reports, and documentation
• Provide consultation and support to school staff, parents, and community partners Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field
  • Valid Massachusettsteaching license in Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of Deaf culture
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, including those with diverse needs and communication modes
  • Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
