Basic Qualifications Associate's degree is required plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. BS degree is preferred. Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within 24 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Integrated Logistics Support Technician. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS: Performs specific administrative and technical tasks in support of ILS specialists and managers Prepares and completes reports required to Program Management and Customer Assists in project/program tasks related to specific Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements Provides ILS input to project/program plans and deliverables Creates engineering instructions to initiate the procurement process Coordinate, track and ensure material delivery to shipyard Defines, reviews and analyzes system requirements for enhancements/modifications for supportability Supports internal audits and reviews for corrective action plans Supports other disciplines for program/project resolution/enhancements Assists in the review and update of technical material to improve efficiency and clarity to support the ILS work team Assists in the development of project/program plans and deliverables Assists efforts for new and revised product and programs by supporting senior team members Assists in the documentation of complex specifications, requirements, contracts, policies, standards and practices Assists with improvising, adapting and creating operating procedures to enhance quality, cycle time and customer satisfaction by supporting senior team members Manages and supports multiple projects, tasks, schedules, assignments and customers simultaneously Performs duties and responsibiliites as member or functional expert on process improvement teams and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment ILS Generalist - intermediate level professional May be required to travel KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Considerable knowledge of the Acquisition Logistics (a multi-functional technical management discipline associated with influencing design for supportability and planning the support infrastructure for a system by focusing on the integrated logistics support (ILS) elements and working with and across all IPTs Considerable knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Elements (supply support; maintenance planning; manpower and personnel; technical manuals; training and training equipment; support equipment; facilities; computer resources support; packaging, handling, storage and transportation (PHS&T); design interface; reliability, maintainability and availability (RM&A), how they interact and how they are applied across a program, their effect on a system, plus how a systems' design and changes affect the ILS elements Ability to generate documents, create spreadsheets and accomplish analysis of spreadsheet data Considerable knowledge of military/commerical requirements/specifications Considerable knowledge of internal/external procedures and policies Conflict Management skills Ability to coordinate with other disciplines for program/project resolutions/enhancements Ability to apply professional expertise, company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors Considerable knowledge of various ILS software applications Demonstrates proficiency in the use of MS Office suite of products Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills Requires strong ability to multitask Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, integrated team environment Company Overview General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) engineers a diverse portfolio of high technology solutions, products and services that enable customers to successfully execute missions across all domains of operation.
