every day rewarding. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Director of Physical Security Sales to lead our physical security
sales division across New England and New York. This pivotal
leadership role will drive the growth and success of our office
security solutions by overseeing a team of highly qualified sales
professionals, developing strategic sales initiatives, and ensuring
the achievement of ambitious sales targets. The ideal candidate
will have a proven track record in physical security sales,
exceptional leadership skills, strong collaborative approach with
Usherwood’s sales leadership teams, and a passion for fostering
client relationships to deliver industry-leading solutions. Key
Responsibilities: Develop Sales Strategies: Own and drive the
physical security sales strategy in every vertical market with a
primary focus on enterprise and large commercial opportunities.
Drive Sales Activities: Identify, pursue, and close complex,
multi-site, and multi-solution security engagements Client
Partnership: Conduct needs assessments, site surveys, and
presentations to demonstrate how our surveillance cameras, access
control systems (including key fob/credential-based and smart lock
technologies), and integrated security platforms address client
challenges like safety, compliance, and asset protection. Oversee
Regional Sales Operations: Manage all physical security sales
activities across New England (MA, NH, VT, ME, CT, RI) and New
York, ensuring consistent performance and alignment with
organizational objectives. Track and Optimize Performance:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate
team success, provide actionable feedback, and adjust strategies to
meet evolving market demands. Collaborate with Leadership: Partner
closely with the broader sales leadership team to align physical
security initiatives with overall company revenue goals. Team
Support: Act as a subject-matter expert, mentor and enable sales
teams through training, deal coaching, and best-practice sharing.
Client-First Focus : Uphold Usherwood’s commitment to putting
clients first by delivering innovative, reliable, and productive
security solutions that drive client success. Qualifications: 7
years of B2B sales experience, with at least 5 years focused on
physical security solutions (surveillance, access control,
intrusion detection, or related technologies). Proven success in
finding sales opportunities and leading high-performing teams in
the physical security industry and related solutions. Demonstrated
experience overseeing sales operations across multiple states or
regions, ideally within New England and/or New York. Bachelor’s
degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Skills and Competencies: Exceptional leadership, coaching, and
mentoring skills to inspire and develop sales professionals. Strong
understanding of the physical security market, competitive
landscape, and client needs. Strategic thinker with the ability to
develop and execute sales plans that drive revenue growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building
skills. Proficiency in CRM tools and sales performance tracking.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. What
