Job Description:
Fidelity Investments, a global leader in financial services, is
seeking a seasoned Principal Data Engineer to enhance our IT & Data
Management team in Boston, MA. As one of the largest asset
managers, Fidelity offers diverse financial services, including
retirement and brokerage services. The Principal Data Engineer will
play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing
state-of-the-art data solutions that drive business intelligence
and data-driven decision-making across our organization. This role
demands a deep understanding of data architecture, engineering, and
optimization to support our expansive financial services
operations. Design, build and maintain scalable and robust data
architecture. Develop data models and data pipelines for data
ingestion, processing, and deployment. Collaborate with data
scientists and analysts to transform data into insights. Ensure
data quality and consistency across distributed systems. Stay
abreast of industry trends and technologies, applying them to
enhance business outcomes. Lead technical teams in developing and
implementing comprehensive data solutions. Expertise in data
modeling and warehousing. Proficiency with big data technologies
(Hadoop, Spark, Kafka). Strong programming skills in Python, Scala,
or Java. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude. Medical
